Nestled in the heart of the Western Dooars, Leesh River Tea Estate (owned by Sombaria Agri Products Private Limited) is a picturesque garden embraced by nature’s boundaries — the Gheesh River to the east, the Leesh River to the west, and the mighty Teesta to the south. To the north rise the Sub-Himalayan foothills of Darjeeling and Kalimpong, and on clear winter mornings, the majestic snowcapped Kanchenjunga reveals itself in the distance.

The estate is spread across three historic divisions — Leesh, Hope, and Patibari. Known as one of the earliest tea plantations in North Bengal, its roots trace back to the late 1800s, with the Phoolbarie (now Leesh Division) already cultivating 600 acres of tea by 1899. This rich legacy makes Leesh River a true pioneer of the Dooars.
